What better time of year to detox your wardrobe than SPRING!

 
This month I will chat to you about the “hanging part“ of your wardrobe. Remove all your clothes which are on hangers and put them on your bed. Clean the hanging pole – with a eucalyptus or fragrant oil.
 
Ask yourself the question – "if I saw this hanging in my favourite store right now – would I buy it?" – if you can honestly answer "yes" then hang it back up.
 
If you can at this same time – replace all your hangers so they all match and are of great quality this is the perfect time to do so.
 

1. Shirts need a great strong plastic preferably black hanger
2. Jackets need a triangular wooden jacket hanger
3. Skirts need a strong metal / wood combined hanger which doesn’t leave an indent mark on your pieces
4. Pants need a metal trigger (space saving no slip) hanger
5. Make sure all hangers are facing the same way
6. Hang your clothes in categories – all shirts together – completely buttoned up to the collar, all skirts together, all pants together and jackets all facing the same way

 
The key to detoxing your wardrobe it to tackle it slowly and only one department at a time – otherwise you will end up with a huge mess and you will never finish it.
So if today you just do the hanging part – then watch how obsessed you become about finishing the whole project.

What is the no slip shoe grip?
No Slip Shoe Grip is a self-adhesive grip which sticks to the outside sole of your shoe to prevent you from slipping over. Why did you come up with this idea?

What was the hardest challenge you have had to face?
My hardest challenges are creating awareness for my brand and getting buyers to give you a go.

What happens next for your brand?
I would love to see my product in department and chain stores in Australia and overseas. I would also like to push the boundaries and enter alternative markets, such as pursuing the OH+S avenue, giving NSSG a more universal appeal.

What do you love most about creating/owning your own business?
I love that everyday presents a new challenge which I have to try and turn into an opportunity!! I love that I am forced to think outside the square and that everyday I learn something I didn’t know the day before!!

What have you learnt from me?
I have learnt so much from you I don’t even know where to begin!! From the moment I met you you have inspired me to remain enthusiastic and focused on my business plan. Your ideas for my introduction to the media, branding and image were dynamic and spot on. You have always given me rational advice on how to work within my budget and be cost effective at all times.

Any advice for some clever girls out there with a great idea?
Never give up!! Research your product and make sure you have a point of difference. Read lots of books on Marketing, Branding, PR- whatever you can get your hands on! With some determination your dream can become a reality too.
